I was scared to talk to my mom about it too, but you know what when I did it made me feel more comfortable to talk to her about other things. She me prepared with everything I need and told me like when to change. She also shared her personal experience. I think you should just go ahead and do it, if your too scared write it to her in a letter.

i started a couple of months ago. it's no big deal. what are you afraid of? just carry pads where ever you go, and change them ever 6 hours

Why be scared, it's a normal part of life. Just ask you Mom. It's no big deal.

Ever woman since Eve has gone though the same thing.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I didn't even tell my mom! She just found out, if you don't know how to come out with it to your mom, just make it a little obvious that you have it so she'll come to YOU first! But, really, you should tell her.

Why are you afraid to talk to your mom? She went through the same thing at your age and she understands what you are going through. It is very important to talk to your mom about this and be close to her. Many things will be happening in the coming years that you need to discuss with her. Just say, "Mom, I have some important questions for you."

your mom has been through the same thing and it's ok to ask her for advice about your period. when i asked my mom, she was completely fine with it. Your mom probably knows a lot more about periods than your friends. Don't be afraid to ask her, because it's natural occurrence.

You should not be scared about your period, it is just a part of a females life and you should be more than willing to ask a person who has gone through it herself like your mother or an older sister.

Don't be scared your mom went through it too so its not like asking your dad (because hes never been through it) or your brother. Your mom had to ask her mom too...every girl has to go through this some point in their life. Your not an outcast for asking your mom.

Hi,I started my period and i hadnt actually talked about it with my mum and it came out of the blue and my dad had to help me because my mum was at work. so go ahead and ask because you may regret it . good luck

If its a regular question or advice you need your moms probablt the best person to go to, chances are she has been there before, even if it seems a little awkward.

If she can't help you talk to a doctor or your gyn.

good luck

dont be afraid, mothers are who we are supposed to talk to when this happens. ur mom will know best and can help u get through it if ur freaked about it.
just tell her!
