I do not believe that every three months for a period is normal for anyone unless you're on some type of birth control that causes it.
You should know your body better than anyone.
What have your other periods been like?
What are the symptoms when you have them?
Are you stressed?
The fact that you're asking this question implies to me that you yourself feel it is unusual activity for your body, so I suggest you do speak with your gynecologist.
Worrying about it can cause stress, and stress can make your body do weird things.
go to the doctor. unless your on birth control that will prevent a period that is not normal and may actually be an indicator of a health problem
