no you dont need to be 16. my mom brought me to get some when i was 15. you can get it for other reasons than sex-- it helps with regulating periods (my reason at the time), and it also helps acne =] you might need to be 16 to get it without a parent though.
nar you can go on your own if you have to. I think you have to be 16 because of being illegal to have sex underage..but if you are underage then maybe they'll still allow it anyway. Im not 100% sure there.
if you are 16 you dont need a parent you can go by your self
as long as you are (or look) 18, just walk confidently to a drugstore and ask to the lady there. she will give what u want.

I am not sure were you live but in Canada you can get a prescription with out your pa rants after the age of 14.
You can go to your local health department and get the pill. I don't think you have to be 16 though.
