Nausea? Normal? Or is something wrong?!?!?!?!

Question: Every time I take my vitamins, I get a REALLY bad wave of nausea.....I don't take them on an empty stomach....and I even tried taking them in the middle day as opposed to morning to see if that helped and it didn't......Does anyone else experience this...is there something I can do to stop the nausea?

Yes, I get really sick, too. You could try a chewable; even Flinstones Vitamins for kids is better than nothing if you absolutely can't tolerate any others. My OB/GYN had me take Flinstones when I was pregnant. Or try either a more expensive food-based one such as Usana (in my opinion these are the best from all of the research I've done and I was amazed when they didn't make me nauseous) if you can afford them (see the link below) or try taking one vitamin at a time instead of a multivitamin to see which one is actually making you sick: Example, start with calcium for a week, then add vitamin B for a week, etc.

If all else fails you could also try vitamin water, though I know it's got sugar in it. Might be better than no vitamins, depending on your individual health.

Yeah, vitamins can do that. It happens to a lot of people. I would tell you to eat before taking them, but you have already done that. Consider getting vitamins through a different medium, like through injection. But before doing any of these things, you should always consult with your doctor.

I've had this problem for a while. I eventually had to move to Centrum Chew-ables, after trying 5 different varieties. I think it has something to do with the volume of vitamins or something.

Try taking them before bed. My hubby gets the same way
