Girls/women only?!

Question: I got my first period last Friday, and i'm on my fourth day. I noticed there are some slippery chunks of red jelly-like blobs in my pad. There was a lot of it, and I don't know if it is normal or not. Sometimes they are small, often they are huge. Are my guts falling out?

No, your guts are not falling out and what you are seeing is perfectly normal. What you are seeing are clots. The lining of the uterus is made of old blood, mostly red blood cells you have no use for anymore. The older blood cells are, the more they break down and clump together. The fluid they contain leaks out, and just the solid cell "stuff" is left behind, so it looks like a great gob of jelly goo. Some are big, some not so big. It looks rather nasty, but it's all normal and natural. So you can relax, you are doing just fine.

Its normal dont worry.

that is clotted blood. Very normal

no.

its normal dont worry about it

it is mucus, not your guts. You are fine. Some periods are heavier than others and some have that mucus coming out in blobs, gross, but fine.

Funny! No your guts are not falling - those are just blood clots and they are normal!

Very normal.
Nothing to worry about =]

It's normal. What's actually coming out is your uterine lining, not just blood.

yep your pretty normal

its fine, the blood just clotted.

No, your guts are not falling out. This is called clots and it is your uterus wall shedding. You are perfectly normal and do not need to worry.

It's congealed blood. Usually when you sit or lay down for long periods of time the frequency and size of them increase. It's perfectly normal to have them.

it's normal, no worries

It is very normal. Nothing to worry about. You can bleed heavy at times and it will clot, sometimes thicker and sometimes not. It isnt your guts and you are as normal as every other woman.

how am i suppose to get off on a question like that?
