yeah that has happened to me, its just your body doesnt know whats going on!! I would continue to take the pill everyday and hopefully it will sort itself out.

Because u missed the pills u can spot early...if the bleeding become heavy...finish the pills in ur pack and instead of taking the sugar pills immediately go to your necxt pack.

yea mines always gushing

yes. It's normal just make sure you have a back up method when having sex because you could get pregnant.

Yes if you miss more than 2 days your period will start, i would finish your period and then start a new pack, if you are still unsure speak to family planning.

Yes it is because you missed your pill and your body thinks it is time for your period. You will need to wait it out and start all over again now.

That is exactly what has happened. Stop your pill and start it again in a weeks time.

That is most likely why.

I leave my pill in the canister with the tea bags. That way I don't get my morning tea without the pill. My husband giggles but he would rather that than have to be responsible himself for me taking the pill.

You should be just fine!

Hi Sweetie,

The pill is a hormone replacement, so when you stopped taking it, it sent your body in a tizzy. Get back on and it should straighten it self out soon. Remember to call your Dr. just to keep him posted. You should be just fine.

Love,
Mom

missed pill, yah, happens all the time. might as well let the "period" finish up and then start the new pack after that. unless you dig having two periods this month. check with doc if you should start the new pack.

This has happened to me and I now have a second child. Forgetting to take the pill regularly is like playing roulette

Yes, your body is confused it thinks it is period time.. Start your next pack on whatever day your pills start.

Yes. But you are lucky to not have fallen pregnant. Why don't you get the Depo injection which was designed for people who forget to take the oral one? I used to have this happen on the odd occasion so I switched to the Depo when I was 36 as they wouldn't give me any more of my pill because I was a smoker and it's dangerous.

It is because you have missed the pill that you are bleeding, carry on taking the pills and it should stop. Unless you are planning on stopping altogether and getting pregnant try not to forget any more pills, easily done have done this myself.

dont worry its perfectly normal to bleed of you have missed your pill.its your body thinking its time for a period.if you take your pill today remember your not protected for 7 days,so use a condom until then or you could get pregnant

Missing pills is never a good thing.
Missing four pills is definitely not good. Yes, your body thinks it is time for your period. This means that you will no doubt have two periods this month. It's not unhealthy. It just sucks because it's a pain in the butt to deal with.

Start taking your pills again. Pick up right where you left off. Try not to forget to take them. It's also important to take them the same time everyday. Make it part of your routine. Like take a pill each day when you wake up or when you go to bed or when you eat breakfast...sometime when you are less likely to forget.

If you ever forget to take a pill, take it as soon as you realize that you have forgotten. This might mean even taking two pills in one day. If you want more information about the certain type of pill you are on, check out their website. Almost every birth control pill has its own website and they provide you with tons of information about what you should do if you ever forget to take your pill.

well it has happened to my mother but yes its because of the hormones in the pill stop the cycle because the hormons make your body feel like it no longer needs to hace that cycle so i would just go visit your doctor and he will tell you how to catch up on those missed days without messing up the rest thats all you need is more messed up hormones!(L-O-L)

Best Wishes,

I'm on the pill, and this has happened to me before.
Just stop taking it now, to let your period flow, stop for 7 days.
then restart your pill cycle again and try not to be forgetful!

i used to bleed when i missed my pill after a few days, start taking it straight away, also you are not protected from pregnancy now so i would use other protection for about 7 days to make sure its back in your system.

i was always the same, i would forget to take the the pill and my period would start early, as is if you keep taking the pill without a break you do not have a period. if you find that you are forgetful, have you thought about having the implant for the pill?

i do that a lot, you start bleeding when you miss more than two pills as your body's hormone level drops allowing a period. i usually take my pills as normal then have the pill free week then start the next pack. i didn't have the pill free week once as i thought this would stop the bleeding but it didn't, i bled for about 4wks till the nurse at the family planning clinic told me to finish the pack, have the break and start another one, everything went back to normal. there's not likely to be anything to worry about, except getting pregnant if you're not using other methods of contraception, this is necessary if you miss 2 or more pills. x

Because your menstrual cycle is reliant on the hormones the pill provides, missing it causes your body confusion. It is perfectly normal that your body is responding by thinking it is time for a period. I use to do it all the time! Just start taking the pill again 1 a day and stop when you are suppose to which would mean you should have 4 pills left.

If you are as forgetful as I use to be with the pill why don't you consider having the injection once every 3 months or the coil, that way you don't have to think about it too much.

don't take the pills you missed just carry on with the same pack then at the end of the pack have your break like you would normally do, so if you missed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday start back with Thursday and carry on from there, within a few days your period will stop, but if your sexually active use a condom cos you will be at risk of pregnancy,
