Some females are born without hymens. And many hymens are torn or stretched by normal day to day activities, and during sports, etc.
You can affect the hymen by masturbation too (inserting objects, other than fingers).
The hymen isn't the symbol of virginity, it's whether a guy inserts his penis into your vagina.

Guys don't mind you having one....just means you haven't have sex. It will stretch or break during intercourse. And if you broke it yourself...you would not need to go to the doctors.
