what do you mean it seems childish?? it's kind of a necessity. do you mean the brand names are childish?? or do you not understand what they are??
Are you referring to panti liners? yeah, they're kind of necessary. Women have a discharge and some women use panti liners because it's more comfortable. It's keeps you cleaner and fresher. It may seem childish or gross to you, but it's nature.

the fact that girls need pads and tampons to keep from getting blood all over the place when they are on their period or the fact that they use those brands?

i was given two different always pads when i first had the sex talk in school and when i first got my period i just used what i was given. i liked them, so i just stuck with it.
as far as playtex goes, i use their tampons. when i went looking for those about two years after my period started when i was finally older, age 13, and more mature and not as afraid i was looking for something for teens or easy glide or something to make me feel more comfortable.. i found a type of playtex eay glides or something, liked them, and kept buying them.
Girls use those brands, among others because we get this thing called a period and if we don't- we bleed everywhere.
