Cramping with the IUD???!
Question: I got the Mirena IUD 2days ago. How long do you cramp for??? Its not a continuous cramp but sharp cramps come and go thur out the day and night. Thank you........

I have the IUD also, I would give it a week or two, the cramps should reduce and you won't have any severe pain but some mild cramping for a little while.. I'm going on my 5th year and will have to have it replaced. I haven't had any problems after the first two months, I still had some bleeding and mild cramping but after the second month that stopped and I have not had a period since.
I think its wonderful..but if your cramping persists and is unbearable, consult your doctor just to make sure its placed right...
iT MIGHT BE UP TO A WEEK ...MAYBE LONGER...IF YOU ARE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS AFTER 1 WEEK THEN YOU SHOULD GO BACK SO THE DOCTOR COULD CHECK THE PLACEMENT
