Why does it hurt girls when they have sex for the first couple of times?!

Question: I just read the book called "Lost It" and it said that it's supposed to hurt. I don't know because I'm still a virgin, but it made me curious as to why...

There are 3 main causes of painful intercourse in virgins and newly active women. First, the hymen, a layer of skin inside the vagina, is torn by the penis, and the tearing can be quite painful depending on the thickness. Also, nerves and stress reduce vaginal lubrication in a female, and the friction can cause burning and irritation. Lastly, again due to nerves, a females vaginal muscles can contract tightly, which causes makes being penetrated somewhat painful as well. After a few attempts at intercourse, most women are comfortable enough that the latter 2 issues are no longer a problem.

Its the tearing of the hymen. It actualoly has no real purpose, and is beleived to be a sign of virginity on some cultures...Which by the way is incorrrect, as active young virgin women can tear their hymen with other activities like sports.

As far as bleeding goes - For some it does, some it doesnt. For those that do bleed, some may be heavy, some light. There is no exact answer. Sorry.

The very first time your hymen is being broken. Afterwards, it takes some getting used to. I mean think about it, nothing has ever been in there before so it is very tight.

well, for starters your vagina isnt used to being opened at such a diameter. the first time, it might hurt because your vagina expands. after a couple of time, however, your vagina will adjust.

idk

It is usually because the vaginal passage is not used to the pressure of something in or against it. It is a tender area, and until after the first couple of times, there will probably be some pain.

it tears something.
