STOP douching and scrubbing, you are just making things worse, as the delicate chemical balance inside the vagina cannot take too much interference.

If you have a strong odour from the vaginal area, and a thick discharge, you may have an infection such as thrush or chlamydia. Both can be dangerous if medical attention is not given, but are VERY simple to clear up with a few days' of antiobiotics.

Also, you may wish to consider that there are several types of discharge ~ one type is the semi-clear, sticky and thick type which tells you that you are ovulating. Not all discharge is bad, it is just your body working. If it's a problem with staining etc, use a panty liner.

BUT, no discharge should be nasty smelling. That is a sign you need medical attention at a doctor or women's health clinic, immediately.

And stop douching It is incredibly bad for you, it really is.

I've put some useful links below.

Cheers :-)

Smelling like fish would probably indicate an infection. You seriously need to go see a doctor.

ok ewwwwwww.

You probably have a yeast infection. There are over-the-counter medications, but i suggest going to your OBGYN.

if your changing underwear 3 times in one day something is wrong and you need to see a doctor...as for the smell vagasil can help with that

That is not normal. You definitely have an infection. I bet it's bacterial vaginosis, not sexually transmitted, but its symptoms are foul smelling discharge. I have been getting it for the past 4 years, right after I had my daughter. You have to see a doctor of course.

i get disharge alot like that. what i bought were scented pads. That should make the smell go away and you wont have to change your underwear 3 times a day

FIRST, INSTEAD OF CHANGING YOUR PANTIES 3 TIMES A DAY WEAR A MINI-PAD THAT WILL HELP WITH THE STINK AS WELL. TRY VINEGAR IN A BATH, JUST SOAK IN IT A COUPLE TIMES A WEEK, AND THERE IS ALSO A SPRAY IN A CAN THAT HELPS WITH THE ODOR THAT YOU CAN CARRY IN YOUR POCKETBOOK FOR TIMES OUT. IF IT CONTINUES THOUGH GO GET CHECKED FOR IT COULD ACTUALLY BE SOMETHING.

Get to a doctor- this is treatable and quite common.

Please see your Dr.!!!!!

from the sounds of it you have an infection. i would go see your doctor. but the worst thing to do is douche. it gets rid of the good bacterias that your vagina needs so plz dont douche again. but your best bet is to see your doctor and try using panty liners so you dont have to change your underwear 3 times a day.

I have that same problem!! Except that i dont smell like fish but im just like you, changing the undies twice a day or more. I started using panty liners to help keep the undies clean but its still nasty.. Id say go to your Dr. Thats what im doing next week and for me, the over the counter creams didnt work at all!! I ALWAYS have bad discharge that will not leave me.. i hate being a woman sometimes..

you most likely have an infection and you need to see a doctor.

Fish smell and an abnormal discharge indicate an infection, probably Bacterial Vaginosis, which is NOT sexually transmitted. It does have a treatment, antibiotics, but if not treated can lead to complications in women.

And please don't follow the advise of a perfume sprayed tampon, the perfume may cause another infection or irritation.

Like many of the others I agree you most likely have a yeast infection. And is quite easy to take care of...but here's some tips on how not to get it.. do not wear tight underwear or pants. keep as clean as possible..baby powder will help keep things dry..:)

spray purfum on a tampon and stick it in your ya u know
