Try some other methods to help you sleep!. Take some Tylenol PMs!. they will help with the pain and also have an ingredient that will assist you in falling asleep!.
As for the pain!. As long as you know the infection is on the run!. you should be good!. They also worry about addiction with pain meds!. Especially at a younger age!. You are more likely to develop that problem!. But, you also have to remember, you are going to have pain!. They just cut through some pretty major abdominal muscles to access the appendex!. This takes time!. It should feel like you were worked over with a baseball bat in the gut!. Your muscles are bruised and it takes time for all of that to start to take care of itself!. You do need to get up and do some small walks!. This will help!. I am not talking walking around for a couple miles!. I am talking several small walks throughout the day!. Walk around the block a few times!. Walk around the house for 5 minutes at a time!. When you try to get up take a small pillow and put pressure over your abdomen!. This helps the muscles sit in place and not work as hard!. That can really help with the strain on them for the time being!. Trust me - in a few days you won't even think about it anymore!
Good luck - Things are going to be great!Www@Answer-Health@Com
