Well, normally with appendicitis you have a fever, you don't eat, you don't like to move around much and the pain will usually start out at the belly button and move to the right side!. Since it is a sharp pain in your left upper hip it is probably not appendicitis (but for surgury they do put you to sleep) Depending on your age and symptoms you could have a kidney stone, diverticulosis, bowel obstruction or nothing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you may just have the flu!.!.!. high fever is a very common symptom or appencicitis!.

they do put you to sleep, as it is major surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may want to get checked out before it gets to be too late and it'll bust if it is that!. And yes they do put you under, but you can't be scarred!. It'll be ok I promise!. Good luck sweetie!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

if it is your upper left side it is not appendicitis!.i had it a few years ago and it is on your right side!.!.but they do put you to sleep for the surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I recently had my appendix taken out!. Yes, they do put you to sleep!. You probably don't have it considering the pain is usually constant and extremely painful!. Also, the pain is generally in the lower right area of your abdomen!. However, you may want to go see your doctor, just in case!. If it gets worse or the pain migrates to the lower right area of your abdomen or gets intolerable, definietly go to the emergency room!. But, it could also be the flu, which is more likely, especialy because you said the pain goes away!. good luck!.!.!.hope you feel better!Www@Answer-Health@Com
