OrthoEvra (patch) or NuvaRing?!

Question: OrthoEvra (patch) or NuvaRing!?
I have had terrible side effects from birth control and have tried many brands!. I've given up on the pill (the mood swings are way to extreme and they cause me to break out)!. I've had luck with the patch but am concerned about blood clots!. Would you recommend the patch or ring!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I tried the patch and found it didn't help my cramps the way the pill had (which is why I went on it in the first place)!. I also found the patch to be annoying because you could see it and it got all fuzzy around the edges like an old band-aid!. I switched to the NuvaRing and absolutely love it! I've been on it for a couple of years now, and have the benefit of helping my cramps and giving me much lighter periods!. I also love that you only have to deal with the ring twice a month!. Also, with the way the hormones are delivered, there tend to be fewer side effects and a lower dose is needed!. It can also be used safely to skip periods occasionally!. I would definately recommend giving it a try!. The only thing I've noticed to be a problem is I have a bit more discharge than I used to, and I don't lubricate quite as much during sex!. But neither are bad enough to make me want to go back to the annoyance of taking a pill every day or how much of a pain the patch was for me!. I just keep a tube of lubricant nearby when I need it, and I don't have any problems!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use pills, so I can't tell you based upon personal experience!. However, my friend used the patch and couldn't stand it!. It kept coming off and even gave her a rash! I've heard that the ring is much lower maintenance, is comfortable, and has very little side affect, if any!. I'd ask your gyno or general physician about the side affects of both and ask them to break down a compare/contrast between the two products!.

Here's the homepage for the patch: http://www!.orthoevra!.com/orthoevra/home!.!.!.!.

And for the Ring: http://www!.nuvaring!.com/Consumer/switch/!.!.!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would try the Nuva Ring!. Nuva ring is the least hormonal contraceptive out there and will def!. help with the mood swing or other side effects(ie!. Nausea, dizziness, headaches) The patch is not bad but if your a smoker you will be at greater risk for blood clots, stroke, heart attack!. Which ever you choose make sure you try it out for atleast 3 months as it takes that long for your body to get used to the new hormones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used the patch for 2 years and LOVE IT try for yourself and see how you will feel!. The first months you will probably get headaches!. I did not gain weight + clear face!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no dont use the patch !! i had BAD side effects and from what i hear happens to mainly everyone so id try the nuva ring!Www@Answer-Health@Com
