Question: Birth control!? help!? please!?
okay my birth control says it expires june and i have 21 pills, so on the last day it'll turn june 1st!. would it be okay to take the pill right now!? should i take it right now!? will it still be good if i take the last one on the expiration date!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
If it expires 6/09, then it expires on the last day of the month (6/30/09), unless it specifically says 6/01/09!. Pharmacist will not take a chance telling you to keep taking it b/c they are afraid of getting sued, but drug companies actually put the expiration date one year before the drug starts degrading!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You'll be fine!. As long as you've been taking them correctly you shouldn't have a problem!. The date printed on the package isn't really the expiration date!. The pharmacy or doctors office can't give them out after that date (which should be 6/30/08) They don't expire for a while after thatWww@Answer-Health@Com
Sure -- but if you're worried, you could always double-up on protection or ask your doc!. The last one -- right before your period, I'm assuming -- can't possibly be so weak that POW! you'll get pregnant on a week that you're probably not going to have sex anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The expiration date is the "sell-by" date!. It is still usable for 30 days after!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i think you should call the manufacturer or the doctor or the clinic where you got the birth control!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just take the d*** pills, Next time you get a refill ask the pharmacist to explain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
