Answers:
I started the Nuva Ring on Sunday (May 11th) and had a significant increase in discharge for the first couple of days!. Mine did not necessarily have a strange odor, but I did experience the heavy discharge!. I did some research about it and found that most women DO experience this side effect at first, but it is nothing to be concerned about!. The Nuva Ring has also been known to trigger yeast infections in some women, but I would not be too concerned about that unless you are PRONE to yeast infections already!. My advice is to simply monitor the discharge until it slacks off (to make sure that you don't develop any kind of infection), but I would definitely leave it in for at least one month to give your body a chance to adjust!.

You should be completely fine, I wouldn't worry right now unless you start experiencing pain, itching, burning, or discolored discharge that lasts more than a couple of weeks!.

Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My wife had some funky discharge right after starting the NuvaRing that she hadn't had with other types of birth control!. Her doctor said that's ok and not to worry about it, her body would adjust and regulate itself with a little bit of time!. I wouldn't worry too much about it, and give the ring some time to work and then see what you think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dont take it out its pretty normal!. I started using them a year ago and didnt like it at first but now i love it! they will regulate you like clock work and the discharge is normal with any birth control depending on how your body reacts!. if you have more problems just call your doc they will answer anything!
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
