In the Bible times it talks about women sitting or laying down on some sort of seat for the entire time of her period!. Later on it talks about using rags!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The poorer women used to just use fabric - rags!. That's where the expression "On the rag" came from!. Course many didn't use anything at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They used old rags (what my grandma told me)!. Before that I think it was leaves of some kind!. They were no manufactured products!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
