Question: Woman!? What makes you a woman!?
Just because you have your period doesn't make you a "woman" right!? My friend just got her first period and is calling herself a "woman"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's all relative!. I don't call an 11 yr old boy whose testicles have dropped a "man"!.
It depends on if we are referring to the gender implied by the term woman or if we are looking for a social acceptance of adulthood!. In any given country you will be called an adult when you are a legal adult (or at least the age of sexual consent)!.
If we are going by some social thing- adulthood or womanhood is something you earn by acting like a RESPONSIBLE adult and being past puberty!.
Your period isn't the end of puberty and there are many "legal adults" that don't have the sense of a child!.
I don't think its a problem to embrace your physical/sexual maturity but it entitles you to nothing more than the effects of the physical changes!. Your friend isn't automatically an adult, responsible, or even EMOTIONALLY sexually mature!.
Just roll your eyes and move on!.
If she's trying to boss you around or something because she thinks she's an ADULT, ask her why her room is dirty, if she will make a doctor's appointment for herself and if she can cook you dinner!. HAHA!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well some people would consider that makes them a woman, because they have made that step from childhood!. But i personally think that being a woman involves a lot more personal and emotional growth!. There is a certian level of maturity there that I dont think you obtain until your in your late teens!. If you personally think the term woman is a little to much for her, suggest she calls herself a lady!. It's still more grow-up then a child but shes not at the woman state of mind yet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
