Question: Is soy a natural substitute for estrogen for women!?
Answers:
soy is a natural phytoestrogen source!. However, it is to balance body hormones (meaning, to compete with bad hormones in the occupation of hormone receptors), not to supply the need of body hormones!. There ar two types of sources of hormones from nature-
1) animal source - substitution of body hormones, it is direct from animal organs such as placenta,ovary, uterus etc!. possible infection problem can happen to you if disinfecting is not properly performed before the intake!. Also, it is a replacement way and your body deteriates if you take them all the time!.
2) Plant source - essential fatty acids, esp GLA!. You can get Evening primrose oil or hemp oil!. However, if you eat EPO, you should also eat some flax oil (for need of ALA)!. These good cholesterol sources are the precusor of healthy body hormone!.

One more thing, phytohormone in soy is cold type!. If you have cold feet and hands, you should eat lignans, a warm type of phytoestrogens (Flax seed is richest in lignans)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
