Question: Should my doctor have said this!?
a couple day ago i went to the doctor to get my physical results back!.the doctor told me i had to take my blood test over for what ever reason!.i got really upset because i dont like needles,blood or anything medical! anyway my doctor said i shouldnt be upset because oneday im gonna have babies!.i didnt like her saying that because i dont plan to ever have children!.was she saying that just because im a woman!?!? any thoughts!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah she just said that because youre a woman!. It would piss me off because I dont want children!. If a doctor said that to me I would set her straight!. She shouldnt have assumed that youre going to have kids one day, that was unprofessionalWww@Answer-Health@Com
She was saying it because she thinks you were overeacting!.
Even if you are not going to have kids you are going to take plenty of blood test in your life!. I think your doc should have apologized but when you think about it to her it really is a daily thing and she was probably just trying to put things in perspective for u!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do intend to have children!. but i would be pissed off by that remark as well!. It was not the doctors place!. They are not there to judge! Also that is prejidice because your are female!. Your doc was wrong to asume you will have kids based on your sex!. That is poor bed side manner! I would let my doctor know that they were out of line and i would then ask the doctor to transfer my records to a new doctor of my choice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It's like me telling my children to eat their healthy food because it will put hair on their chest!. My boys do fine with that but, my girls say they don't want hair on their chest!. I'm sure she did not mean anything personal by her comment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
