Help about my Cousin!?!?!


Question: Help about my Cousin!!?!!?
My cousin is 11 yrs oold and shes 108 lbs!. 5'1 and shes "thick" like black girls no Offenvise iintended
she has like thick legs and a stomach that pokes out!.!.
She isnt the skinnest gurla round and she eats like umm 3 times a day and like 3 popsicles and like 2 chocolate bar every 2 weeks!.!.!.

A healthy weight range for that age and height is between 76 and 111 pounds!. Typically before puberty pediatricians prefer to see kids falling toward the higher end of the healthy range!. Her BMI would be roughly 20 which is fine for her age!.

Also depending on the height of her parents, she may go through a growth spurt in the next 1-2 years which is not uncommon in prepubescent girls!. Most grow a few inches in a short time with little to no weight gain, which explains why many girls around the age of 13 lose their "baby fat"!. This is one of the reasons pediatricians suggest avoiding dieting around this age and prefer a high end of the average weight!. This will give her body more to work with and prevents "growing pains" as she lengthens out!. Most girls of this age also still have little bit of a belly, like you see on 99% of babies and young kids!. Its nothing to worry about now, but she might consider a more active lifestyle as she goes through puberty to avoid falling out of the healthy range!.

SO much emphasis is put on a girls weight which causes many emotional and mental issues regarding self esteem and body image!. As long as she is a healthy weight for her height and age (which she is!) then I would suggest cutting her some slack!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it can be tough being overweight, but if she really doesn't have a problem with it, or if you think you're trying to do a favor for her, she may be fine with the way she looks!! ^_~

if you want to go about things subtly, maybe talk her into having celery instead of chocolate or cutting back on the chocolate!.

[see, to me 108 lbs at age 11 isn't that bad!! but i'm not obsessed with my appearance, i actually enjoy living life, not trying to "perfect" the body god gave me! especially when i was 11 i had way more things to worry about, like getting the latest teeny bopper magazine to get Hanson pictures!.!.!.!.]

i eat crap but i work out and so i'm skinny (and i have a hyperactive what's it called lol metabolism) but i would mostly insist she come with you to gymWww@Answer-Health@Com
