Question: I am growing crazy facial hair!. Help!!?
Over the last couple of years I've been growing a crazy amount of facial hair, my chin, under my chin, my lip, sideburns, even on the lower part of my stomach!!! I've recently noticed that I'm getting some on my chest now!. I don't know why it is growing and it's thick too!. Could this be some kind of hormonal problem!? I am 23 years old!. I am very fair skinned!. I have very irregular periods, I have since I started getting my periods!. I haven't had a period, in months and I know that I am not pregnant!. I am at a total loss here and it's sooo embarrassing!. I feel like I'm turning into a man! I don't have any health insurance, so no, i haven't gone to the gyn or anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you have PCOS!. (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)

Every symptom that you mentioned is a symptom of have PCOS!. I would definitely go to the doctor as soon as you possibly could to get tested!. PCOS is a serious condition and can lead to infertility and can actually be cancerous!.

You're growing hair in odd places due to the fact that you have high levels of androgens, which are male hormones!.

Hi I'm fair skinned and have had trouble in these areas all my life too, I've tried plucking, waxing, epilation and recently lazer treatment, the lazer treatment was good but I have only been able to afford one treatment and the hair is just as bad again!. It wouldn't hurt for you to go to your Dr something else might be going on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Check out the symptoms listed for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)!. You really should go to a clinic to have it ruled out as it can cause infertility!.

You could call your doctor's office and they would most likely have information about free health care screenings in your area!. Or look up a women's center!. If you have access to any city!.!.!.!.!.you will have access to health care!.

ive been diagnosed with poly cistic ovarian syndrome!.
its a hormonal disorder!.

my doctor has me on birthcontroll to help regulate my periods, and help with horrible cramps that i get!.!.!. it also slows the growth of the hair!.!.

its possible that it can be a hormonal imbalance!. Are you on BC!? That can help with period!. But with the hair i wouild suggest waxing shaving or laser!. Laser is the most expensive but it remove hair permanently!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
