At 18, you can't be compelled to visit any doctor for any reason!. And the doctor can't tell your dad a single thing unless she wants to end up in prison!. It's a federal offense to violate patient confidentiality, involving a nice prison term, a large fine, and probably loss of her liscense!. Your virginity is not your dad's business anymore!. And that's exactly what I'd tell him, too!. A hymen is not a tamper proof seal anyway, and even if the doctor fails to see one, it's still not proof of anything one way or the other!. You dad will just have to decide for himself what he wants to believe about you, without you having to prove anything!. Just tell him no!. And tell him, if you saw his "friend", and she did say a blessed word to him you would have her license and she knows it!. I doubt she would want to hang her tush in the wind just to satisfy his curiosity!. If she's a decent doctor, that's what she would tell him as well!. So if all else fails, speak to them together- point out that fact, and put it in her court!. That should let you off the hook!. well friend or not she is NOT allowed to tell him and if she does, that is against dr!. patient confidentiality and she can lose her license!. I highly doubt she will tell your dad if she values her job!. P!.S they can assume you are not a virgin if your hymen is no longer in tact but dr's know that sex is NOT the only way it breaks!. Parents can be soooo untrusting!. I know what you mean about wanting them to percieve you as a certain person, its hard!. If you're 18, you're technically an adult so you should have a talk with your dad and tell him you are a responsible individual who doesnot need to see a gyno, and that you hope that he can have a little more faith in you!.

Are you in some situation where the revelation of your non-virginity could cause major problems!? If not, it might be best to come clean, especially if you've just been sleeping with a serious boyfriend rather than walking the streets or something!. All a gyno can tell is if your hymen is intact or not!. If you've lot your virginity, you won't have an intact hymen!. However, there's plenty of ways to break a hymen WITHOUT having sex!.
