i think i got my first period!! what should it look like how do i tell my mum and how long should i bleed for!?!? and what should the colour be!?!?!? help plzWww@Answer-Health@Com

Ok first off there is nothing to be scared about, every young girl gets their period!. Your first period will probably be pretty heavy and in the beginning you may have some brown discharge but after a few hours this will develop into blood, which will be pretty dark in color!. Don't be alarmed if there are lumps in your blood-these are just blood clots!. When your mom comes home just tell her that you have something to say, and then just tell her!. It's nothing to be embarrassed about, and remember she is expecting this to happen to her little girl, just like it happened to her!. Your period will last about 5-6 days and on your first period you should probably use pads and change every 4-5 hours!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just try to take care of it yourself until your mum gets back!.!.!.!.so get to the shops or get a friend to go and get you some pads, tehy are simple and not uncomfortable (though they might take some getting used to)!.!.!.
