I started hormonal birth control about one week before my period was due and did not bleed until the intended inactive week (fourth week of pills)!. Starting now, you may be able to skip your period this month, but you may have some unintended breakthrough bleeding or spotting!.
There are three ways to start hormonal birth control: Day 1 Start (start on the first day of your period; you are protected from pregnancy immediately), Sunday Start (start the first Sunday after your period begins, even if you're still on it; you're protected from pregnancy after seven days of active pills), Quick Start (start any time; you're protected from pregnancy after seven days of active pills)!. Typically they tell you to Day 1 Start or Sunday Start, because spotting/breakthrough bleeding is less likely and your first withdrawal bleed during your inactive week might be heavier/crampier than subsequent bleeds on the same hormonal birth control!.
You could have great luck starting now, or it could be frustrating!. Personally!? I'd try it!.
Best of luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com
