I feel stupid posting this!.!.!.but I'm pretty naive!. That is, my mom won't tell me anything! She said soon I'll have to see a "special doctor"!.!.!.I know she talking about a geinacologist (sorry for my horrid spelling)!. Anway, that's all she said, but when she said it her face was basically saying "yeah, and it's NOT fun!." I asked her what they did there, and she wouldn't even tell me ^!.^" So!.!.!.please tell me!? And what's a pap schmear!? (Once again, spelling!.!.!.sorry!.!.!.)

How old are you!? I am 22 and I have never been to a gynacologist!. My GP started to recommend I have a pap smear and I will soon as it is important but it is only really necessary to have one once you start having sex and usually only til after you are 20!. If you haven't reached any of these stages tell your mum you aren't ready!. If she does make you go though don't stress!. All women have to go through and I'm sure it won't be as bad as your mum has made it out to be!. They are professional women and will make you feel as comfortable as possible!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well its not so bad, they just check you!.!.!. make sure all your "woman organs work perfectly fine" and I wouldnt worry if I were you Pap Smears are done when you are sexually active or over 18!.!.!. but most dr's opt for doing it till you are sexually active and well they insert some metal object that looks like a beak up your vagina and ussually take a lil something from in there to check it and make sure everything is fine in there!.!.!. Sorry didnt want to go to into detail here and I hope you understood my explanation, i tried as best as i could not to make it too graphic since im guessing you are way too young!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you dont need to know what a smear is until you are about 25 dear, am sure it is not something you need worry about,go to dentist to check your teeth and a gynaecologist is a womans dr, who checks the womanly parts you have, routinely a when a woman has had babies far off in your future!. it isnt sore, and they check you do not have the start of any womans illnesses!. your mum is just embarrassed as its all about where babies come from! and I am just off to see my gynaeolcogist and get this check done today !Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had many pap smears!. They are a little uncomfortable but not unbearable!. You need to visit the gynecologist once a year!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
