Question: Planned Parenthood!?!?
Hello,
I am planning on going to planned parent hood soon to get birth control pills & i was wondering a few things!.
1!. If a pap smear is required are the doctors female!?
2!. Do they have to mail you prescription or do get it right from them!?
3!. Do they have any birth control pill besides the generic one, something like yaz!?
I'm getting on birth control for pregnancy prevention & to make the cramps go away around that time of the month because i get really bad ones!. (& yes i use a condom also, but condoms break sometimes so i want to be fully assured)

Well, I go to a Family Planning, which is pretty much the same thing!.
1!. Yes, a pap smear is required, and the doctors are female!. If they aren't they usually have a female nurse in there to kind of supervise and make you feel comfortable!.
2!. You get the birth control right there!.
3!. Each place probably has their own type of birth control!. It's hard to say if they'll have Yaz!. What they could do is write you a subscription for Yaz, and you could go to the pharmacy and get it!.

1!. From experience, yes, a full exam is required in order to get the prescription for birth control pills!. They need to examine you to make sure that your anatomy is healthy and taking the pills won't affect you in any negative way!.

2!. Most likely, they will give it to you there!.

Since you plan on doing this because of sex, you really should have a pelvic exam to make sure everything is working down there!.
I believe you get it right from their office/pharmacy!.
