Answers:
if you mean what happens after you first start getting it then i can tell you that you'll grow more body hair most conspicuously your pubes if u didnt already start to get that, your body will generally produce more pheremones (smell), overall you're body will start looking more like woman!.
if you mean what happens after each period in terms of the cycle
after you get ur period, approximately two weeks later (2 weeks are spent in the maturation of a new egg cell) which will rupture the ovarian wall (ovulation) and begin to travel down your fallopian tube!.
while your egg is in the upper regions (closer to your ovary) fertlization can occur (you had sex and sperm have enough time to travel up ur fallopian tube and fertilize your egg)!. if not your egg will travel into your uterus and be flushed out!.
meanwhile your uterus spent time building a wall to nourish a baby which it doesnt need anymore so it shed the wall about two weeks after ovulation (your period)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nothing really happens, it depends on when you get your periods and how developed you are!.
You probably would have got discharge before hand, but you might start to grow underarm hair if you haven't already got it(i got mine after my period)
You boobs will get bigger, you'll put on weight a little bit faster so watch what you eat cos you may get stretch marks (like me)

Nothing will really change!.!.!. except the fact that you can get pregnant!. So be smart about that use protection if you ever decided to have sex!.

If your going through puberty your body will start devolping!.!.!. growing breast and pubic hair etc!.!.!. but that dosent have anything to do with your periodWww@Answer-Health@Com
