Question: TAMPONS! and swim team !?
hey!.
i havnt told my mom about my period yet!.
and i have had it since last november!.!.!.!.!.
i have been surviving (not that bad) not the problem
im telling her on my next period!. so thats not what im asking
i have done swim team on my period before but the tampon wasnt that comfortable!. but i also went to the beach and used Playtex sport and that was very comfortable!. my mom uses Tampax cardboard!. but i wanna use sport because of swim team!. how do i tell her when swim team comes up that i wanna change tampons and that ive used them before!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sweetie- you should just tell her!. i know its hard( i got mine in school and my nurse told my mom!. anywayss!.!. just say" mom- can you get me some different tampons from the store!? i need them for swim team!." she will be soo happy that you shared this with her!.

It'd be great if you could talk to your mom about these things, but it isn't always that easy, and sometimes moms aren't comfortable talking to their daughters about these issues!. Is there a school nurse you could talk to, or an older cousin or friend!?
If you really can't talk to your mom, you can buy the tampons yourself!. I worked in a drugstore for years, and trust me, unless you make a big whoop-ti-do about it yourself, the cashier doesn't even notice - by mid-shift it's all just a blur!.

She probably already knows you have had your period already, especially if you leave stuff in the trashcan or whatnot!.
Just tell her, and state that you've already tried and love playtex sport tampons, but need to get some more!. Or go out and get them yourself!.
