My husband says this is not normal? ?!

Question: My husband says this is not normal!? !?
My husband told me it is not normal for any human, including me to not have a sex drive and that means there is something medically wrong!?

Why is there something wrong with you if you don't have any sex drive!? I don't see a problem with it who says you HAVE TO have sex or want to all the time!?

So, is there something medically wrong with a woman if they do not have a sex drive!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't beat yourself up over this!. Its very common for both men and women to lose their sex drive!. I have to ask!. Did you have a sex drive before and just recently lost it!? Did you recently give birth or you a mother of small children!? Age!? A number of issues could be causing this decreased libido!.

1!. Hormones
2!. Children
3!. Husband is not turning you on
4!. Anxiety and/or Depression
5!. You are on medication that is working against your sex drive

If you really love your husband and you want this marriage to work, I'd recommend that you talk with your primary care physician first and then see what he/she says!. Perhaps they will refer you to a specialist!. This is not all uncommon!. Many people suffer with these same issues, so your not alone!. I wish you luck!. I feel for both of you!. Perhaps it has nothing to do with drive!. Maybe you just dont enjoy it!? Do you get turned on by anything!?

I am going to hope he was saying this out of concern and not selfishness :-)

Lowered sex drive can be a signal that there is something wrong!. It could be thyroid related, it could be that you are on some medications that are lowering it (a lot of mood enhancing/supressing can lower drive like paxil etc)!. You could be suffering from depression etc!.

Have you always been like this towards sex or has it changed!?

If you have always felt like this, there may be nothing wrong!. You just may not enjoy sex or feel the need to show love in that way!.

If your drive has changed a lot then I would go see a Doctor!. You dont want to ruin your marriage, or ruin having a great time having sex over an under active thyroid or because medicine is doing it!.

Good luck!

:)

PS There are meds you can take if you do want to enjoy it with your husband!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suspect there's a lot more going on here!. All women have a sex drive - even you!. However, what triggers a woman's desire is different from what turns men on!. As a rule, once she's gotten in the mood, her desire is every bit as intense as that of any man!. One of the biggest problems is that a lot of men often are crude and impatient and consider it "just sex" while for many women it's far more involved!. It's true that, in general, women want it far less frequently than we men!. There are exceptions of course - I was fortunate to have a relationship with such a woman for several months!. She enjoyed sex for its own sake!. And she seemed to have a hell of a lot more fun with life than any of the other women I've dated and even the women I eventually married!. Um -no, I wasn't married to the two of them simultaneously!.
It sounds like you and your hubby might benefit from a few weeks of couples counseling!. He sound rather an insensitive clod, and I do detect an undercurrent of resentment on your part!. Give counseling a try, at least: it'd be a shame to fugg up a relationship over sex!.

Just because you don't have a sex drive doesn't mean there is something medically wrong with you, there could be other reasons like you just can't be bothered to!.

In some cases though it can be the case some illnesses may cause loss of interest in sex!.

You don't have to have sex either!. If you don't feel like it, you don't feel like it!. It's as simple as that and it could last for days or even weeks, just don't feel pressured to do anything!.

Don't beat yourself up about it there are lots of reasons why this can happen, it's more common than you think (very common actually)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you ever had a sex drive!?!?

How old are you!? Age can effect your sex drive!.

Are you happy around the house!? That can effect your sex drive!.

There are many things that effect if you have a sex drive or not!.

Two people can have completely different sex drives!.

My female friend has a much higher sex drive then her husband!.

If you or your husband are worried go ahead and talk to a doctor!.

No you do not have to have sex all the time BUT you and your husband need to work out something so he does not go else where to get his needs taken care of!.
NOT saying he will some men will stick it out no matter what!. Some men will not!.
But it is always best to work out some kind of middle ground!.

Hope this helps or at least gave you some things to think about!.

:o)

If your not to concerned try an over the counter libido formula for women, but if you are very concerned talk to a doctor, it could even be a birth control your takein!. (if you take one) lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

it is common with many women along the history, it is classified in sex psychology!. as i remember it have no treatmentWww@Answer-Health@Com

i have no sex drive at all, its awful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People's sex drive varies, and it can be lost due to stress, tiredness, hormonal inbalance, and a whole heap of medication!.

Some people are actually asexual and have no sex drive or desire for either gender!. There is debate as to whether this is just another sexuality, or if many cases have underlying pscyhological problems!.

As an individual!. You may have no sex drive!. It may be constant or intermittant!. Importantly, your husband should respect this!. Talk about it!. Explain that you still love him and find him attractive, but you don't feel like you want sex right now!. Maybe an evening just touching each other and massaging each other would be nice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It really is NOT normal to have NO sex drive!.

Sex is the strongest natural drive that we have!. Our need to proceate even out does our need to eat!. Just look at the birth rates in Third World countries where famine is a problem!. You would think that they would understand that MORE BABIES means LESS FOOD, but the sex drive is too strong!.

Low or no sex drive is almost always a physical problem, but it has a strong psychological component!.

BOTH of you need to seek counseling -- together!. Your problem needs to be investigated, but he also needs to learn how to handle it until it gets fixed!. The sexual part of marriage is extremely important, and your denying your husband is as damaging to your marriage as is his constant badgering!.

Your first move should be to OPENLY discuss this problem with a professional counselor!. What's the proboem -- you told US, a bunch of strangers!. So now tell it to someone who actually CAN help!.

His (or her) first move will be to insist that BOTH of you get complete physicals!. The doctor will be checking for hormone levels, blood sugar levels (diabetes can cause a lack of sexual satisfaction), and general physical problems (do you experience pain during sex!?)

Once any physical problems (if there are any problems) are cleared up, the counselor will begin to investigate your views and attitudes about sex!. What is your reasoning that you don't want to have sex with the one person on earth that you SHOULD be having sex with!? Do you have some attitude or misconceptions about sex!? Is there hidden anger, resentment, or unforgiveness in your marriage!? Is your husband just a bad lover, and HE needs to learn some new techniques so that you can enjoy it too!?

Don't sell yourself short, and don't short-change your husband, in this matter!. WIllfully and honestly seek professional help WITH your husband!. You WILL be glad that you did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
