When did you know it was time to get a hysterectomy?!

Question: When did you know it was time to get a hysterectomy!?
I am a 27 yr old female with a 5 yr old son!.
I had a lot of complications with my first pregnancy & I had a lot of personal relationship issues as well!. I am having a lot of issues in my baby making area right now as it is too!.
I think that if I have another child right now (that is if I had a husband that actually made the pregnancy enjoyable), I would be too old to enjoy things when he/she got older!. I know that sounds silly but I think back to the way my mom was when I was growing up & playing sports !.!.!. It was not a memorable experience!. At least not a worthy one!.
I am 27 going on 28, I am dating a 41 yr old man who has an 18 yr old & a 3 yr old!. If things progressed between the two of us, I would love to have a child with him but at the same time he wants to just have the ones we have right now!.
I don't think I will have more children to be quite honest!.
I just want to know when a woman knows that she wants a hysterectomy!.
Thanks for reading this question!.

I am to a 27 yr old with a 10 yr old daughter and a 2 yr old son!. In between these two, I had a stillborn!. At that time I begged my OBGYN to do a hysterectomy on me and he would not!. Now looking back I can understand why!. At the time I felt as if my life were complete!. I was not married then!.
I am now married and we had our youngest!. I thought back to in 2000 when I begged my doctor for a hysterectomy that I would have regreted it in the long run!.
So after I had my 2 yr old I decided to get my tubes tied!. BAD IDEA!. I suffer from Post Tubal Stress Syndrom!. If my doctor at the time would have mentioned this to me I would have NEVER done it!.
So that leaves me to where I am now!. I have endometroisi, and cysts on my ovaries!. I have cycles every 13 days!. I am in constant pain!. It has taking me over a year and I can not tell you how many ER visits to get a doctor to agree with me on doing a hysterectomy on me!. And I still have to wait until March 3, 2009!.
My only advise to you is to read up on all of your options, read up on the problems you are having in your baby making area and understand everything!. It seems to me if you are having problems that can not be controlled anyother way than hysterectomy is your answer!. Most doctors will try everything else first!. I hate to tell you that!.
For me I knew I wanted a hysterectomy when I got to the point of not being able to function!. Which was at 26!.

hysterectomy means having your uterus removed!. why would you want to have a hysterectomy!? is there something wrong with your uterus!?
maybe what you mean is tubal ligation - permanent serilization!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

!.
Most women only have hysterectomies when there is a medical problem because DR frown on this procedure unless it is necessaryWww@Answer-Health@Com

A hysterectomy is permanent !. It puts you into immediate menopause too if you have your ovaries removed which means your vagina will be dry and you will most likely need girly hormones for the next 40 years!.!.!.not a good option hey!!?

If you are not 100% certain you dont want more babies why not ask about the Depo shot or see your Gyno and ask about other options like the pill!.

I had a Uterine Ablation and that worked for me but I was 35 and had definitely finished having babies!. It was much easier than a hysterectomy and achieved the desired result which was to lessen the impact periods had on my life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would definitely advise against getting a hysterectomy!. It doesn't sound as if you are having any major gynecological issues that would warrant getting a hysterectomy!. Just because you don't think you will have any more children, it doesn't mean you have to resort to a hysterectomy!. You could try getting on some long-term form of contraception like an IUD or get your tubes tied!. I highly doubt you would find a doctor willing to do a hysterectomy on you since you don't have any major physical reason to do one!. I'm 23 and I too have considered a hysterectomy because for the last year and a half I have been bleeding heavily constantly with no break and have debilitating pelvic pain with no solution yet!. However, in your situation, I don't think I would be considering having a hysterectomy!. You could talk to your doctor about it and see what they think!. I just think you need to look at all of your options before you seriously think about a hysterectomy!. Good luck! I hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
