It can mean nothing!. Also stress and other things can affect how bad or light your periods are, but sometimes if you continually have heavy periods you need medicine to minimize it, if its to the point it is hard to control!. Also your periods can be lighter the first year or 2 that you start having them, and the older you get they can get heavier, so maybe it's normal for you and it was just light before!. Although you are pretty young and this may not apply to you, something to consider is if you happen to be sexually active, you can be very early pregnant and miscarry, and bleed heavily and just think it is a bad period and never know you'd been pregnant!. Most times this occurs with no problems, but there can still be some complications if this happened!. so if you have had intercourse you may want to see a doctor if it was really heavy to be sure that wasn't what happened!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
