Why is it "better" to see a MALE GYNO?!

My current male gyno is far more gentle with me during the exam than women gynos have been in the past!. Once you accept that its just a medical procedure that has no sexual element at all, it doesn't matter the gender of the person doing it!. I'm embarassed to let anyone see me down there, it wouldn't matter if it was a girl or guy!. Not to be crass, but how do you know your female gyno isn't a lesbian!?

I've had a bad exam from a male gyno as well, so I don't think men are always better--I just like my current doctor the best and he happens to be male!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree only a female doc for me too!. I question why a man would be interested in women's health!. I mean im sure theres no problem with a male gyno but i can understand whya woman would want to become a doctor and specialize in women problems , but a guy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The main reason why I prefer a woman over a male is because if there is a male then a female must be present in the room while the exam is being done where as with a female OB its just her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It isn't better to see a male doctor!. It's the same!. I happen to be more comfortable with men!. However, I found that when I had a woman obgyn she was a bit more gentle and cautious!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
