Question: How long until I can have unprotected sex after starting MonoNessa?
I just started taking MonoNessa-28 two days (Feb. 16) ago. This is the very first time ever being on birth control, and I was wondering when my fiance and I can start having unprotected sex? P.S. The first day of my last cycle was Feb. 1 (So 2 weeks prior to starting the pill).

One month. You should finish an entire pack first.
The instructions that come with the pills usually say you're protected after the first week, but this isn't completely true. After a week, the pill starts to become active in your system. However, it takes a month for the pill to reach it's total effectiveness.
you are supposed to wait about 2-3 weeks. Remember that the pill does not always work. The shot is more effective and it only takes 24 hours to start working.
