so this will be my first period on the pill. but my period isn't due for a week and i have been getting this brown vaginal discharge. does the pill make this happen?

yes the first few months on the pill makes this happen. if it happens after 3 months on the pill then you try a different pill
Yeah, sometimes the pill can upset your hormone levels a little bit - not unusual or unheard of. But if the problem persists, see a doctor x
Brown discharge = old blood
Try to eat healthier and take iron supplements :)
Not sure if it's the pill.
I always get some brown discharge before and after my period.
