Why do I still stink after taking a shower?!

Question: Why do I still stink after taking a shower?
I'm a 20 year old female. I take a shower twice a day. I don't know why I still have bad odor. My armpits and vagina still stink after washing there constantly. The bad odor starts 3 hours after taking a shower. I don't exercise or sweat and my shirt already has a bad odor. Especially the armpit, even after wearing deodorant. The bad thing is that when i wash the shirt, the bad smell still doesn't go away. What can I do about this?

Answers:

Go see a dermatologist.

There is not much you can do about the vagina as washing more than the outside of it can cause the smell to be worse due to infection. Your vagina does follow the smell of a lot of what you eat so eat lots of fruits and veggies and stay away from too much meat. the body is the same way, but less so. If you eat too much potent smelling things such as curry, garlic or onion, you may begin to smell. However, I know that that is not always the cause of the smell. Smell is not caused by you necessarily but by the bacteria growing in your armpit. I smell like onions constantly and nothing I wear makes it go away. The only thing that has worked for me is benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is an active ingredient in many acne washes. Well, as it is peroxide, it kills the bacteria in the armpit. If I use it once a day, I will be smell free the entire day. Just rub some in your armpit and make sure to rinse thoroughly because it can stain clothes. Do not use this in your vagina though because it will give you an infection. Good luck!

I have the same problem, it's got something to do with your liver not creating certain chemicals which stave off the smell. If I've learned that showering without soap helps a lot.

It could be the food you're eating. Try eating more fresh veggies and fruit and see if that helps some.

Talk to your doctor and ask him about prescription deodorant for your underarms.

the armpit smell is just your funk....but your vagina EWW you might have an infection

I think that you have a fungal infection. You should follow this up with a GYNOB evaluation. This is not normal.

you have to use soap
