The great thong debate?!

Question: The great thong debate?
I'm 19, in college but still live at home. I usually do my own laundry, but forgot some of my clothes in the basement. My mom found some of my thongs in my laundry and got mad at me for having them. She questioned me on why I have them and why I wear them, claimed they were a health hazard, and said only loose girls wear them. She even said she didn't want me buying them anymore. I was pretty pissed she was making such a big deal out of it, because I'm an adult and didn't think it was her business what kind of underwear I wear. And it's not like people see it when I wear them anyway.

So I'm wondering what you guys think about this, and if my mom was right about the sluttyness and health risks (bacteria traveling along the string, etc.).

Hahaha, bacteria traveling along the string?? No, she is completely wrong. There are no health risks and it's not slutty to wear them, sometimes it's very practical. it's absolutely none of her business and if it were my mom, I'd let her know that. It's actually bordering on the bizarre that she would even mention that to you.

They are the most unhygienic disgusting form of underwear ever made. Boy's see them as a sexual thing not as for their proper use (erasing underwear lines on tight dresses), they are not worth the time or effort not to mention the damage ad infections they cause.
Your mum is trying to look out for you, although you are 19 she doesnt want boys seeing you as a cheap whore, and she doesnt want you with faeces in your vagina either, take her advice. bin the dental floss.

well it's not the healthiest thing but there are daily pads for thongs as well..u can use them if you wanna be sure of healthiness as you wear thongs..apart from that if it feels comfortable it's your body you are to decide on that.

As long as you wash them after you wear them they are fine. It's not like you're eating off of a thong, and if you are, god help you.

thongs i think are a bit on the promiscuous side but its just another fashion trend if u look at it from the outside
