Help With Birth Control?!
Question: Help With Birth Control?

I can't say anything about that brand, as I don't use it. However, I just wanted to add my experience with my own kind. I take a brand called Junel, which I believe is the generic brand for Loestrin. I'm on mine because of the pain I had with my period before. Not only do I have almost no pain with my period, but I'm virtually acne-free! So if this kind doesn't work for you, maybe you could try the kind I'm on?
I've always been told to start the pill on the Sunday right after your period ends. You don't want to start while you're on your period, because that is the time when you are off of it and allowing your body to do what it needs to. I believe that is the case for just about every birth control pill. You take it for 3 weeks, then your period is the 4th week, and then you start again the following week. Some packs have placebos (sugar pills) that you take during your period so that you don't forget to take them again when it's over.
It's fine if you want to start it on Sunday after your period. What's most important is that you start it and take it every day, at the same time of day. BC Pills are commonly used to treat acne. I started on them when I was 16 as well. The side effects I encountered (with any pill) is nausea and bloating. The nausea will eventually clear up (sometimes it only takes a week or two, sometimes a couple of months) but the bloating never stopped for me. Some women lose weight and some women gain weight on the pill. It all depends on how your body reacts to it.
