Am I allergic to latex condoms?!
Question: Am I allergic to latex condoms?
We had sex last night and about an hour after I noticed that the skin covering my vagina was really swollen and really itchy for the whole night. I did ice it to reduce the swelling which worked really well and now the itching and swelling are gone but I'm still a little sore just from having sex.
I know I used to have a slight reaction to latex gloves and bandaids but I'm starting to think that if I'm not producing enough lubrication, the friction from the condom does this to me. We usually don't have the condom on for that long because he puts it on a couple minutes before he's going to finish.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Answers:
i have the implant in my arm and i dont produce enough lubrication on my own to make it "slide" in
we dont use condoms (at first we did but the problem still exits without one)
i get really swollen, really red, and it itches like crazy, we started to use lube from like cvs and put it on him and me before inserting
it works sooo much better when u have proper lubrication
i think that we need lube before sex because u cant just magically make some without being "excited" already
at first i thought i had a yeast infection as it hurt to pee and wipe or even touch but turns out after using lube and letting myself heal up a few days later i didnt hurt any more :)
try some lube and see how it goes
hope i helped :)

it does sound like a allergy there are other types of condoms that are non latex but read they lable as there are some that might not have been tested against stds or pregnancy i know that it is not fun to have such an allergy but there are also lubrication that you can use and if you know that the two of u are commited and only with each other then i would look into a different form of birth control.
You are allergic to latex so it is better to use other alternative. So that you don't have the sore feeling later after sex.
You are not sufficiently lubricated for sex.
