questions about birth control?!
Question: Questions about birth control?
Answers:
Birth control keeps you from ovulating. It does not stop your period. If you are cramping that bad you might need to go to the doctor.
But when I was younger and my daughters were younger, we found that Midol started a couple of days before your period and continued until you have stopped hurting really helped.
Percogesic is also good for cramps. But Midol is made specially for girls having their periods so I would start there first.
Birth control pills, Nuvaring, and 'the patch' all regulate your period. Sometimes, periods are lighter and shorter with these methods. Cramping are reduced somewhat, although it depends on the formula and on your own chemistry.
There are also shots and implants that some women get that last several months or years. These will eventually all but eliminate your period, although spotting can occur. I'm fairly certain that these two methods aren't done for teenagers, but you can ask your OB/GYN or doctor about it.
