Your opinon of progesterone only birth control pills?!
Question:
Your opinon of progesterone only birth control pills?
I was just switched to progesterone only from Alesse which was estrogen and progesterone.
I only plan to be on it for a few months until I can get Mirena (which hopefully will be able to be placed since I haven't had a child- but the doctor says she's had success with non mothers so fingers crossed!)
So I'm wondering what are your opinions and experiences with progesterone only pills?
Answers:
Too restrictive. You have to take them withing the same hour each day, there isn't any leeway if you forget and take it a few hours late.
It doesn't always prevent ovulation, or even fertilisation, but it prevents implantation, so no baby that way. Anyone who thinks that life starts at fertilisation should think about using a pill which prevents ovulation instead.
