For woman only How do you figure out how long your menstral cycle is and how lon!

Question:

For woman only How do you figure out how long your menstral cycle is and how long do you ovulate?

Answers:

The length of your cycle is the number of days from the first day of your period til the day before the start of your next period. You are ovulating for 2 days typically in the middle of the cycle.

If you are on a perfect 28 day cycle (this is just for illustration, I have never met anyone on a perfect cycle)....
Day 1 is the day you start your period. You would ovulate on the 14th and 15th. You are only fertile when you ovulate and sperm lives for 72 hours so you can get pregnant if you have sex from day11-15. A scientific way of figuring this out for your own body is to track your days, how you feel and you temp each day.

Again this is only if your cycle is perfect. This is not a good method of birth control. The length of cycle varies from person to person from 23 days to 38 (in my experience and that of other women I know). The days you are ovulating on will depend on how long your cycle is.

Again, NOT a good method of bc. Young adults who are just beginning their cycle will not become regular for several months to several years. Some women never have a regular cycle.
