Birth control realated question (Girls only Please!)?

I have tried to use tampons and they have not worked. So finally I took a look and I determined that I have a microperforate hymen. This sucks big time because I can still have a period but now it has to be longer because of my hymen. I researched more into it and discovered that it can be fixed by minor surgery. I don't want to have surgery in that spot when I am 13 years old. So that is not an option. I was thinking that maybe I could go on some type of birth control to stop my period, or something along those lines so I won't have to suffer with long periods. I don't have a heavy flow but I have bad cramps and now that I can't use a tampon, birth control seems to be the only way out. I hate using pads because they are messy and always make me feel insecure. I also get queasy when I feel my own blood... If their is some advice on birth control or other ways to fix my hymen, please tell. I cried when I couldn't put a tampon in. Help please :(

You need to ask your doctor if a birth control pill would be a quick fix as females we all have problems and this is just the beginning no one likes pads but you do what you have to do tampons are very uncomfortable and painful for me as well so i know what you are going through just hang in there and do what your doctor suggest
