I want to change doctors. Should I change to a general practice doctor or a obs!

Question:

I want to change doctors. Should I change to a general practice doctor or a obstetrics & gynecology?

I am a 23 year old married female. Would you recommend any good doctors in Ventura County? Thank you.

Answers:

If you don't have anything wrong with you female organ wise then you can have your primary care physician (if they are comfortable with this, some prefer to leave it to a gynecologist) take care of doing your annual exams.

As for checking for good drs in your area of CA one good site that may be of help to you is: http://www.RateMDs.com

You don't have to sign up for it to do a search on the database for good drs in your area. It is an excellent site because you can see how others rate the different drs in your area. If you do feel more comfortable with a gynecologist or the primary care dr suggests that you have them take care of that then there's a section called "Physician Finder" at the following site: http://www.acog.org where you can find out about the OB/GYNs in your area and connect to some that have webpages that you can check out for general information. The site listed above also has ratings for OB/GYNs that one can check out too.
