Are these fantasies normal? Plz help!?

I'm 14, and I have been having really strong fantasies about making out with a star and feeling like I really have a serious crush, but the thing is that I'm in love with Lady Sovereign, and she's a girl! I'm not a lesbian, but could I be bi? Is this normal? Thanks for any answers!

There is a really great series of self-help books about fantasies by one of the leading psychologists on the topic, Nancy Friday. Being 14 can be tough because you haven't figured out what is "normal" and what is not.

However, here's my personal opinion. No one can tell you what your sexual orientation is, it's something you have to decide for yourself, usually by years of self-exploration.

As far as what you finally decide, who cares what the definition is for what you establish, as long as you are spreading love in the world?

And star-worship is very normal. Don't sweat it. Just take the time to find out who you are and don't listen to other people who tell you what you should be. Life is tough enough as is without having to make sure you're pleasing the wrong people.
